Rigid Gender Roles

Rigid gender roles refer to the strict and often stereotypical expectations placed on individuals based on their gender. These roles dictate how men and women are "supposed" to behave, what kinds of jobs they should pursue, and how they should express themselves.
For example, women are often seen as nurturing, responsible for the home and children, while men are expected to be strong, assertive, and the primary breadwinners.

These inflexible standards not only limit individual potential but also hinder personal growth and opportunities. Women may feel pressured to abandon their educational goals or career aspirations in order to fit into these prescribed roles.
This societal pressure fosters a culture of inequality, making women more vulnerable to discrimination and violence.
